The Vow That Changed History (CD Series)
As a young man, King David understood that God longed to have a people who would perpetually agree with Him in intercession. He vowed to dedicate his life to finding a resting place for God and "swore to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob: . . . 'I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob'" (Ps. 132:2-5). David's vow included spending time in worship in the house of God (Ps. 27:4), fasting (Ps. 69:7-12), and extravagantly giving away his money (1 Chr. 22:14). Because of this oath, David established a tabernacle in which prayer and praise were continually lifted to the Lord. David's vow changed history. In this four-part series, Mike Bickle shows how it continues today in those who embrace it and is at the heart of the end-time worship movement. We celebrate the commission to agree with God in worship and prayer twenty-four hours a day in the spirit of the tabernacle of David.
