If Jesus Were A Parent
If Jesus were a parent, would He use the same principles He used with His disciples? Exploring the principles found in the gospels, Hal Perkins helps parents put them into practice. He shows how to lead a child's heart into obedience through a constant context of parental grace and honesty. With illustrations on how to establish God's truth— Him, about right relationships, about abundant life— will discover how to empower their children to connect with Jesus and follow Him with passion.
"Many talk about spiritual disciplines, but few practice them. Hal Perkins practices. Many preach about discipleship, but few practice it. Hal Perkins practices. Called to reproduce disciple-makers, Hal mentors emerging leaders as he moves them from principles to action. His message is validated by the lives of his children and will touch nations in the future."— D. Ketchum, Ph.D., Global Director, Nazarene Missions International
"This is the single greatest book I have ever read about parenting on purpose: it challenges and encourages parents to disciple their children to be champions for Jesus and disciple-makers of our Lord. I was encouraged. I wept. I was convicted. I was moved. I read it twice. Hal's book on raising Christlike children has changed my outlook on parenting. My only regret is that I didn't have these concepts thirty years ago when our first child was born . . . It is the best book I can recommend for parents who are serious about following Jesus." — Wesley Rench, Mission Growth Consultant, Church of the Nazarene
