The Transforming Power of Mercy

Jesus said in Matthew 9:13, I desire mercy and not sacrifice. Do we fully understand this truth? We often ask God to forgive us, but we do not have faith in His desire for mercy. Instead we bargain with God for forgiveness and put ourselves on probation. We must cooperate with the only thing that will give us freedom and enable us to love God wholeheartedly: mercy.
